Effect of Different Soil Amendment Along with Mulching Material under Polyhouse Condition in Stawberry (Fragaria x ananassa Duch) cv. Winter Dawn

An investigation was carried in experimental field of Department Horticulture, SHUATS (October 2021- March 2022). The experiment laid out Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 19 treatments and each treatment replicated 3 times. study revealed that maximum plant height (18.16 cm), number leaves (15), spread N-S (21.11 cm ) E-W (20.11 minimum days taken to first flowering (36 days), flowers/plant (20), fruit setting (5.88), total fruits/plant (16), berry length (42.27 mm), width (37.11 weight (25.32 g), yield/plant (371.95 yield (q/ha) (165.31 lowest acidity (0.80%), highest vitamin-c (55 mg/100 g) benefit cost ratio (4.15) were observed under T17 (Vermicompost + Plastic mulch). Therefore, mulch) showed best result as compared other treatments.
